Hybrid and Innovative Learning Conference

29. November 2022, 8:30 - 17:00

In the last two years, the topics of digitalization and digital inclusion have become more important than ever. Therefore, the Hybrid and Innovative Learning Conference aims to promote cross-organizational best practices and guidelines for hybrid teaching methods, infrastructure and inspirational impulses to create an inclusive and more effective teaching and learning environment. The event also provides a great opportunity to bring together feedback, perspectives, and discussions from different sectors and offers a broad introduction to offline, online and hybrid teaching models. Firstly, the internet and recently digital assets as well make education more accessible and less expensive. They also create the need to educate a new form of literacy – digital literacy. Therefore, individuals need the skills and ability to use the innovations in information technology that the digital era brought to society, not only to make hybrid learning effective, but also to make the change for more individual autonomy.

The Hybrid and Innovative Learning Conference is held in cooperation of the Frankfurt School Blockchain Center, the University of Liechtenstein and Kapsch AG to promote the experiences, challenges and solutions from our Erasmus+ project to build a digital- and hybrid-ready infrastructure in the University of Liechtenstein that integrates online and offline experiences live and at the same time, thereby combining the best of both worlds for students and lecturers.

After the conference, the Frankfurt School Blockchain Center hosts an exclusive open-end networking get-together for speakers but also guests in the Fine Dining area on our campus. The tickets for the networking are limited and available on a first come, first served basis.

In general the conference elaborates on the following questions:

  • How to solve technical difficulties, inefficient didactics, and low engagement during online classes?
  • What skills and competencies need to be adopted by lecturers to multitask and show awareness for two channels simultaneously in a hybrid learning environment?
  • What are best practices in hybrid infrastructure for universities to secure an efficient and effective hybrid learning and teaching environment?
  • How to tackle the challenge of decreased interaction in hybrid classrooms, without a loss of quality for either side?
  • What new forms of teaching and learning could motivate students to study more autonomously?
  • What are the best practices for teachers to deal with the increased stress factors of digitization?
  • What are the key factors that every hybrid learning environment should account for?

During the panels, online as well as on-site participants will have the opportunity to ask questions directly to the speakers.
